This past year has gone by so fast that I am hardly believing it is New Year's Day tomorrow. My mom has been gone for 4 years now, as of today. I miss her every day. So do the kids.
I have been vegetarian bordering on vegan for two weeks now. I can't say I see a lot of difference in my life but if I think of the animals that aren't dying because of me, there is one.
It is cold here now, but not as cold as it usually is. We have really only had one bad cold spell, and it lasted a few days then the weather went back up to almost 80 again. Now it is in the 50's to 60's during the day and 30's to 40's at night.
Marshall and the boys have been working on moving my garden area to run along the fence between our house and Di's. That should keep Sandy from trying to get through the fence to eat Di every time she hears her over in her yard.
Shadow is getting a lot bigger. She is almost the same size as Evie. She's a love-bug too and likes kitty treats. She and Evie are best friends and play together all day. Currently she is sleeping under my purple tree here in the office.
Hopefully this next year will be a good one. I want to start working with animal rights groups and do protests and really walk the walk this year. I also want to go completely vegan and get this weight off for good.
Happy New Year's everyone!

It has been a long time since I updated here. Lots has happened since school started. Sean starred in the play Electra as her husband, Marshall's back is getting worse, Logan moved to Houston to help out a friend, and Jess is finally scheduled for her reattachment surgery this month. Thanksgiving went really well. Now we are working on getting Christmas over with. Logan is supposed to be coming home then, and since Jess has a new boyfriend, he will be here too. At least she moved out and we were able to separate Sean and Bryan. Now each of them has his own room. That makes for less fighting.
